Events

If you are attending the venue for a specific event this will be clearly marked on your ticket, Studio, Courtyard and Crane Room.

Christmas FAQ

Do I have to book a table online before coming to Propyards Winterland Ski-lodge?

We do recommend booking a table to ensure you get a seat, however, it is not necessary. Walk-ins table may be available.

Who do I contact to book Christmas parties or group bookings?

You are able to book tables for up to 20 people online.  You can find this in the ‘WHAT’S ON’ section of our website.
Please contact Christmas@propyard.co.uk for Christmas Parties and larger group bookings.

Can I refund my ticket if I am unable to make a booking?

There will be no refunds for cancellations (ill or otherwise) or no-shows.

Can I pay for the roller skates and activities at Propyard?

We recommend booking in advance to ensure you are able to secure a slot, however, yes you can book tickets at the venue.

Note – Propyard is a cashless venue, all purchases must be done by card.

What are the free drinks offered in the Ski-Lodge deal?

Your free drink includes Mulled Wine or Cider, Can of Beer or a Soft Drink.

Please note your drink MUST be claimed before 9 pm.

Do you supply roller skates with the price of the tickets?

Yes, skate hire is included in the price of your ticket.

Accessibility

Propyard is wheelchair friendly, with access possible via all entrances and exits.

There is limited Blue Badge holder parking on site.

Guide Dog friendly.

Event specific accessibility can be accommodated, please Contact us to discuss.

Opening Times

Opening hours for Winterland 2023 are as follows*:

Thursday – 16:00 – 23:00

Friday – 16:00-23:00

Saturday – 10:00-23:00

Sunday – 10:00-20:00

*These times may change according to specific events that may be taking place throughout our Winter season. Please contact us for any further specification on a certain date.

Food trading finishes at 21:00 on Thursday-Saturday and closes at 20:00 on Sunday.

 

PASS ID

The PASS Scheme was launched in 2000 to combat fake proof-of-age cards, which were becoming a widespread national problem. Providing a reliable, robust and recognisable ‘proof of age’ supported by enforcers to help those who sell age-restricted products avoid selling illegally to underage customers.The PASS card scheme is operated by a Community Interest Company providing accreditation to suppliers of Proof of Age Cards in the UK.

We also accept Passports & Drivers Licenses.

Lost Property

All lost property is kept secure on site for one month, please Contact us if you think you have left anything at the venue. After one month we donate any unclaimed items to charity.

Drugs Policy

Propyard has a zero tolerance policy towards drugs. This includes possession, dealing or using.

The Premises Licence Holder of Propyard does not condone the dealing in or use of illegal drugs or psychoactive substances. Anyone found in possession of illegal substances or weapons may dealt with by the Police.

Any items which the organisers of the event you are attending consider to be used in an illegal or offensive manner shall be confiscated. Searches may take place at any time and those suspected of carrying out illegal and/or offensive activities on site will be searched.

CONTRABAND & PROHIBITED ITEMS

The items listed below are NOT allowed in the venue under any circumstances. If these items are found on anyone entering the venue, you may be ejected. In some cases, if the items are illegal, you may be handed over to the Police.


Contraband Items:
* Glass bottles or containers (including perfume bottles)

* Flares – such as emergency or distress flares or Smoke Bombs

* Permanent markers, paint pens, spray paint etc

* Alcohol, soft drinks or other drinks not purchased on site

* Lasers, Laser Pens

* Hipflasks or other concealed drinks containers (eg. umbrellas with hidden compartments* Fireworks and Sparklers

* All animals (except registered Guide Dogs)

* Grinders or other smoking paraphernalia are considered contraband if empty of drugs. If found with drugs inside, this is deemed a Prohibited Item.

Prohibited Items:
* All substances defined as Psychoactive Substances under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016. These substances can also include those previously known as Legal Highs and includes anything packaged as herbal materials, powders, tablets, crystalline substances, gas or liquids that may be packaged or marked as ‘smoking materials’, ‘research chemicals’, ‘room deodorisers’, ‘herbal incense’ and ‘cream chargers’ some may even state that the product is not for human consumption.

* Illegal Drugs of any kind

* Any object that security considers to be potentially harmful to public safety

* Forged tickets or wristbands or fake access passes of any description

* Alkyl Nitrates (otherwise known as poppers)

* Nitrous Oxide (Nos/Balloons) in any form and any chargers (also known as a ‘cracker’)

* Weapons and potential weapons including anything adapted for such purpose as to intend harm to others

* Knives, penknives etc

ISSUES DURING THE SHOW

If you have would like to submit a complaint about the venue or event please speak to a member of security who will try to assist and in turn, if necessary, contact a duty manager immediately during the show to try and resolve the issue.

Complaints after an event should be sent in writing (via email) directly to info@propyard.co.uk.

Driving and Parking

We encourage people to leave the car behind as much as possible and walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the venue, but for those that really can’t the closest car park is Temple Meads Train Station. Alternatively you can park at the Bristol Fruit Market off Albert Crescent for a fee, then a 10 minute walk up Albert Crescent and left onto Feeder Rd to Propyard. Food & Beverages

Food or beverages are not allowed to be brought into Propyard. Any food/beverages found will be removed and confiscated. This policy includes both chewing gum & sweets.

On specific events we have food available on site. If you plan on consuming alcohol on site we advise you to eat before arriving at the venue. Drinking water is available on request.

If you require items for medical reasons, please make this known to us via email before attending. Also on the day of the event you are attending please make security personnel on the door aware.

CHALLENGE 25

Customers that look under the age of 25 will be asked to provide ID when purchasing alcohol.

You are committing a criminal offence if you are under 18 and you attempt to buy alcohol. You may be ejected without a refund.

If you are over the age of 18 and you are found purchasing drinks for those under the age of 18, you will be ejected without a refund.

Only acceptable forms of proof are accepted. These are listed in our ID policy.

Taxi drop off

There will be an on site taxi drop off, see map on Home page. For larger events there will be a designated taxi stand on Victoria Rd.

What's On

Propyard is a multi use space with a range of seasonally inspired events and activities, with aim of creating new experiences for Bristol. With a range of spaces there can often be something for everyone. There’s a range of things on offer at Propyard, whether that be drinks and food in the Courtyard, an exhibition or event in the Studio, or sampling tasty delights in the Crane Room. Ticketing

Tickets for events at Propyard are provided by a range of ticket providers. Propyard does not accept any liability should there be any issues with tickets, any issues should be taken up with the ticket provider.

Cloakroom

Cloakrooms are available for specific events. Please contact us at info@propyard.co.uk to find out if there will be a cloakroom available during the event you are attending.

Corporate Events

If you are looking for a unique space with a central location Propyard is available to hire. Contact us to discuss what is possible. All spaces are available for private hire, exhibition, events, social gatherings from 100 to 3000.

Each space is available for private hire, we are happy to discuss a range of events, get in touch if you have an event and would like to discuss then Contact us.

School Trips

Security

The site has 24hr security as well as event specific security. Bag searches may take place.

Covid

We will be continuing to work with very high standards of cleanliness and ensuring that any precautions, where possible, are taken to limit the spread of covid. We ask that all staff and customers refrain from coming to the venue if they show any symptoms of covid and we will continue to follow government guidelines surrounding the issue. If you have a ticket and can not come we do not offer refunds but will look to rearrange for a another date.

Family Friendly timings

We are a family friendly venue. We have high chairs and changing facilities, we ask that all children are supervised at all times and that they leave by 8.00pm. The venue turns into an over 18 venue ager 8PM. This does not include every event and times are subject to change. Please check specific event listings for further clarification.

Dog Friendly Venue

We are a dog friendly venue.

Dress Code

We welcome you to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. However, please note items of fancy dress may be confiscated if they are deemed to be dangerous. We’re afraid no Hen and Stag attire is permitted to be worn.


Please note we are a warehouse venue. Our floor is concrete and level inside. However, there are areas of gravel outside which is difficult to walk on in some footwear, we recommend trainers or other comfortable footwear whilst you are on site.

CAMERAS & RECORDING EQUIPMENT

Professional cameras with external lenses, video cameras or tape recorders are not allowed in the venue. If you have these items on you when you arrive, you will be asked to either take them off-site or be asked to store them in the cloakroom, which will incur a cloakroom fee.

Smaller portable cameras are allowed. However, at some events they will not be. This will be specified in the website listing of that event.

Tablets & iPads are not permitted to photograph or film during any performances.

Venue Layout

Propyard has a free flow general admission capacity, from 200 to 4000 depending on the specific event and its layout. Propyard is a fully accessible venue, however there is gravel in our Courtyard, so please make note of this where applicable. Certain areas of the venue may have specific capacity requirements. Where this happens a one in one out policy will be put in place.

ADMISSION, REFUSALS & EJECTIONS

Following licensing law Propyard has the right to refuse admission without providing a reason. Consuming alcohol prior to your arrival an appearing in an intoxicated state or behaving inappropriately may mean you will be refused entry without a refund. Disrupting the crowd via crowd surfing or any other means (such as throwing of drinks etc) are strictly prohibited in the venue. Those who do this will be ejected without a refund. In line with licensing law the venue has the right to refuse admission to any patron without providing a reason.

Propyard is committed to protecting and safeguarding your personal information. Propyard’s website might contain hyperlinks to other websites owned and operated by third parties.   • How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Ticket purchase for an event, concert, conference or other ticketed activities at the venue
  • Signing up for a competition, raffle, mailing list, newsletter or similar where you agree to be contacted in exchange for information or a prize. 

We use the information that you have given us in order to contact you regarding new events, news and updates about the venue and the activities taking place here.

  • How will Propyard use the information it collects?

We will use your personal information for a number of purposes which include the following:

  • to provide our services and to deal with your requests and enquiries
  • to provide you with a simple user friendly website experience
  • to contact you about services that are relevant to your original enquiry
  • to comply with certain legal and regulatory requirements as part of the services provided by you
  • When will Propyard contact you?

This could involve showing you an advertisement to events similar to those that you’ve attended or shown interest in based on purchase history or social media activity. 

  • Will Propyard share your personal information with anyone else?

Propyard will keep your information secure except where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies, including for child protection reasons). Where Propyard reasonably believes that you are or may be in breach of any applicable laws, for example on hate speech, we may disclose your personal information to relevant third parties, including to law enforcement agencies or your internet provider. Propyard would only do so in circumstances where such disclosure is permitted under applicable laws, including data protection law.

  • How long will Propyard keep your information and can it be deleted?

Propyard will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to provide you with the services you’re engaged with.  You can opt out at any time and request for your data to be deleted by writing to the Data Protection Officer. 

 

  • Can you find out what personal information Propyard holds about you?

Under the Data Protection Act and GDPR you have the right to request a copy of the personal information that Propyard holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. We will use reasonable efforts consistent with our legal duty to supply, correct or delete personal information about you on our files. Please address requests to the Data Protection Officer, details of which can be found on our website.

Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
